This statue is in the Calvary Cemetery at 61st and T. I am told the statue is old enough that the history is lost. The cemetery might have been founded around 1885. It is actually on top of an older cemetery . I feel the bronze Jesus is some of the best work I have seen . I feel sure it is the best on the island , so it will be an ongoing project getting the perfect photo of it. I would enjoy your input of the photo's I am showing here. I sometimes take years and hundreds of photos to get what I want out of the subject. It was over 3 years before I felt I had properly captured the pier 21 photo. When I went to erase the file , it had over 700 photos in it. All from the exact same spot.
